HISTORY:
Alex Westinger was a lab assistant working at AlgorTech, a global company with it's fingers in weapons design, manufacturing and computer technology. He was attached to a military R&D project, working with biochemist Alan Smith to create a new way to transport equipment and weapons without weight concerns. their research ended in creating a chemical that would shrink inorganic components down for easy storage, with Alex figuring out how to control the process and store the items for easy use.
Things went well for a time, although Alex began to notice the good doctor was acting strangely, nervously watching the door at all times. Any questons were met with an 'I'm fine', though Alex continued to keep an eye on him. He soon discovered that some of hte shrinking compound and control units were going missing, and prepared to confront Alan about it when the lab was attacked. This, he discovered, was what Alan had been waiting for, as the doctor used his inventions, specially prepared for this, to stop the thieves from gaining the compound. Alan, however, was shot as the duo escaped and the lab was destroyed. Alex was fired when the missing equipment was brought up for not bringing it to the CEO's attention in the first place.
Upon returning home, however, Alex discovered a package, sent to him by Alan before he died. Within was the missing equipment, along with several other things shrunken down by the compound and an account set up by Alan in a Swiss bank. A letter with the package explained the details of what happened: how Alan had discovered their boss was planning on stealing the Government funded research and selling it to the highest bidder, which would have allowed terrorists, criminals and smugglers to easily ply their trade without anyone finding their contraband, shrunken down and hidden. Alan had purchased a small shop, with a hidden basement where he could continue to build, adapt and research uses for hte compound and, hopefully, stop AlgorTech's plans. With Alan gone, the responsibility had fallen to Alex to find a way of stopping them. With the equipment and his own training (both before and after the incident) Alex became Slinger, dedicated to stopping AlgorTech, and anyone else, from disrupting peace and endangering innocents.
SECRET IDENTITY:
While not a must I do wish for you to expand and create an in depth persona in which your character uses to move away from the super hero/villain aspect of his/her life. Though some characters well not have a secret identity and thats perfectly alright too. Also if you want the secret identity to be a secret from everyone on the site make a separate account and make a civilian profile.
